Dubai Mall
The Dubai Mall is a shopping mall in Dubai and the largest mall in the world by total area. Along with West Edmonton Mall in Canada, it's the eighteenth largest shopping mall in the world by gross leasable area. It is a huge shopping and leisure centre, with department stores, plus an ice rink, aquarium and a cinema. It is owned by Emmar Properties, which also owns the famous Burj Khalifa. It was opened at 8 May 2009. Dubai Mall opens and closes every day at 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. You can call Dubai Mall at the number 800 382246255. It is part of the 20-billion-dollar Downtown complex, and includes 1,200 shops. In 2011 it was the most visited building on the planet, attracting over 34 million visitors. Access to the mall is provided via Doha Street, rebuilt as a double-decker road in April 2009. It has 4 floors and you can go there by metro to the stop Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station at the red line. It hosts parking for more than 14,000 vehicles. It attracts visitors by hosting many famous places like the Dubai aquarium and Underwater zoo,the Dubai ice rink, Kidzania, Dubai Fountain, Reel Cinemas, the Rainforest Café, SEGA Republic and many shops. In December 2012, Emaar Properties had announced the completion of the Metro Link which is a 820 m long elevated, air-conditioned footbridge that connects Burj Khalifa/The Dubai Mall Metro Station to the Dubai Mall.
